About SAP PI 7.1 :

• SAP PI 7.1 was released on September 25th 2008 with unlimited shipment.
• PI 7.1 is shipped with Enterprise SOA support .
• Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture is an International Industry standard build with Global Data Type(GBTs) .
• The Global Data Types are based on XML Data types.
• Enterprise Service is an executable Program which can run Business Logic.
• It shipped with lot of new revolution changes in Integration Repository and Integration Directory.
• Integration Repository is call as ESR (Enterprise Service Repository) in PI 7.1.
• Drastic changes in Message Mapping. we no need to create UDF for Database Lookups and RFC Lookups.
• Creating Custom Function Library is possible in PI 7.1 for re usability of UDFs in other mappings.
• Creating Local Software Component is available in ESR and also many more features are available in PI 7.1.
